About the Role

Lincoln Freedom Group is hiring a Python Developer focused on code quality and standards on behalf of a client that is expanding into multiple new markets.

This role is ideal for developers who enjoy ensuring that production code meets best practices and provides maintainable, reliable software.

Type: Full-Time 1099 Contract (40 hours/week)

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience

What You’ll Do

As a Python Developer with a focus on code quality and standards, your main responsibilities include:

Reviewing pull requests (PRs) and ensuring the development team follows best practices and coding standards.
Working primarily in GitHub to approve PRs and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
Collaborating with the team to refine and improve coding standards over time.
Contributing to code alongside review activities, offering variety beyond pure review work.

This is not a test-automation or QA role. The emphasis is on production code quality, maintainability, and development best practices.

Tech Stack and Environment

The role uses a modern backend and development ecosystem:

Python frameworks: Django, FastAPI
ORM: SQLAlchemy
DevOps tools: GitHub, GitHub Actions
APIs: REST and SOAP services
Messaging: Kafka
Focus: Networking and backend applications

The team is building out formal QA processes as projects grow, and developers are empowered with autonomy and trust to own their work.

Ideal Candidate Profile
