Sanctuary Computer is hiring a Senior Frontend Developer to join its creative and development collective focused on building high-quality web experiences.

This is a contract-based role that allows you to work fully remote from anywhere in the world.

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will work on a broad variety of client projects, from immersive brand websites to complex web applications, prioritizing performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and clean design.

The garden3d collective works on products ranging from brand websites to cross-platform applications, often integrating advanced frontend technologies and design systems.

What You Will Do

In this role you are expected to:

Build and maintain high-performance web applications using modern frontend frameworks.
Translate design specifications into pixel-perfect, responsive user interfaces.
Integrate frontend applications with headless CMS platforms, APIs, and third-party services.
Focus on performance optimization, improving load times and runtime efficiency.
Architect scalable component libraries and design systems.
Write clear documentation to support long-term code maintenance.
Participate in team meetings, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Provide code reviews and help maintain frontend coding standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Successful candidates typically have:

8+ years of frontend development experience, writing highly performant code.
Expert-level experience with TypeScript and one or more modern frameworks such as Next.js, Nuxt, Svelte, or Vue.
Experience with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Sanity, Contentful, Prismic).
Familiarity with platform hosting and PaaS tools (e.g., Vercel, Netlify, Firebase).
Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
Strong skills with modern CSS tools (e.g., Tailwind, CSS Modules).
Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Pinia) and testing tools (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).

Additional competencies that are nice to have include real-time technologies (WebSockets), data visualization libraries, WebGL/Three.js experience, and client-facing collaboration skills.
